This bug could easily be controlled by attackers, allowing them to completely crash any system that is not updated with the new patch. It could also give attackers the chance to trick the Firefox browser into running other malicious code.

Firefox 1.5 users will soon start to receive the corrective patches along with the automatic updates that run through the browser. Firefox 1.0 and Mozilla 1.7 users will not be affected.

As of May 2, Mozilla reported that they are doing all they can to speed up the process of the fixes and get them released to all Firefox users as soon as possible. So, if you are in the category of possibly being affected by the flaw, hang in there, because help is on the way.

May I suggest that we take the bulleted list into our control and give them a face lift?

Yeah, I like the idea too, so let's get right to business.

If the list has already been created, highlight it before you begin the bullet selection process.

Now, either use the Format menu and choose Bullets and Numbering or right click to select Bullets and Numbering from the shortcut menu.

When the Bullets and Numbering window opens, you'll find that there are a few different choices immediately available.

If one of these makes you happy, then select it and click OK. But, if you're still looking for something different, select one style to replace the other and click the Customize button.

At this point, you should be looking at the Customize Bulleted List window.

In the top section, called Bullet character, you'll see recently used custom bullets. If you like one of those, select it and click OK.

If you're still not finding what you need, you do still have a couple of choices.

First, you could choose one of the bullets and modify it further by using the Font button. This will allow you to make the usual font adjustments to the bullet you chose. (Keep in mind that if you choose a picture bullet, the Font button will become inactive).

Or, you could choose to click the Character button. This button gives you access to the Symbol window. You can use any symbol you find here as a bullet.

And, if you want to get really creative, you can click the Picture button. That will give you access to all of the clip art images, which you can also use for bullets.

When you find something you think you can use, click OK to return to the Customized Bulleted List and then OK again. You'll return to the Bullets and Numbering window where you'll find your newly created bullet among the other choices.

Make sure it's selected and click OK.

Poof! You've got a bulleted list that's just picture perfect!

P.S. - Just in case you didn't notice, there's a Reset button in the Bullets and Numbering window. You can use this to return all the bullet choices back to the original set anytime that you feel you need them.

Paint Fun

Do you know about the Paint program? Well, if you don't, you should, because it's very cool! To get to it, go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint. A page will appear with a white box. That is your drawing board.

You can use the tools on the left side to create different pictures. Use the File menu to open a new paint window, to save, to print, etc. Use the Edit menu to undo mistakes or to paste a picture from another folder. Use the View menu to work with the tools and colors and the Image menu to change things around in your drawing. You can use the Colors menu to change colors for your painting and there's a Help menu in case you get stuck on anything else.

You can use the pencil, the paintbrush, the spray can and even insert text if you want. If you mess up, just go to the Image menu and hit Clear Image and start again. It's really just a fun little program to experiment with. It doesn't have to be perfect, as you can see from my picture below!

If your wireless mouse starts acting slower then normal or does not track smoothly across the screen, there are a few things you can check to make sure of optimal performance. Make sure the batteries are charged or fresh. Also, make sure that the receiver, which is connected to the computer, is not blocked in some fashion.
